Positive outcomes 

At a meeting at Stroud District council, bringing together rural partners and stakeholders in the south west, the discussion turned to how profile and perceptions of affordable housing is related to challenges and barriers. 

One member of the round table discussion said "What we need is a collection of good news stories – to show the positive impacts on communities affordable housing has.” 

This sentiment was mirrored around the country as I raised the idea with local authorities we visited.  The project aims to produce version1 of the Positive Outcomes booklet.  Thanks to all who contributed to this – many housing associations as well as local authorities.  This is in development and will be passed to the HCA rural team.  Please submit further contributions via ruralhousing@hca.gsx.gov.uk
